I have this feeling it may be a DirectX issue, as I understand MCE uses DirectX to draw the image to the screen, whereas the PVR250's native capture software 'WinTV' does not. Actually, it happened after NVDVD trial version expired, then everything was messed up. I wouldn't describe it as interlacing at all.

Everything worked fine until the trial expired and since then I have received this error message. I have tried installing Cyberlink's Power DVD which I have downloaded the Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility and the Cyberlink decoder is the preferred decoder and has a green tick for being MCE compatible.

The error message comes immediately when I try to start Media Center. MC stops loading immediately. I will contact Cyberpower as well - when they wake up.
